Dates are high in fibre which slows digestion and prevents blood sugar spike. Experiment with your choice of coatings such as chia seeds, coconut or buckwheat groats.


HAZELNUT BLISS BALLS


I N G R E D I E N T S

  • 1 cup dates, pitted & soaked in hot water for 15 minutes to soften

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • 1 tablespoon rice malt syrup or honey

  • 1/2 cup almonds

  • 1/4 cup linseed

  • 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder

  • 11/2 cups hazelnut meal

  • pinch of salt

Coating Suggestions

  • desiccated coconut

  • buckwheat groats

  • chia seeds

M E T H O D

1. Place all ingredients into food processor and blend for 3-5 minutes until mixture comes together and nuts are finely chopped.

2. Using wet hands roll mixture into balls, if the mixture feels a bit a dry add a little water.

3. Roll the balls in your choice of coatings and refrigerate until ready to serve.
