Homemade Sport Drink

Are you looking for an alternative to your typical sports drink? If you are trying to avoid excess fructose & artificial ingredients give a natural alternative a go!


Its refined sugar free, all natural with a mild fruit flavour.




HOMEMADE SPORTS DRINK

(SERVES 1)


INGREDIENTS


2 teaspoons rice malt syrup

1 teaspoon coconut oil or medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil

¼ cup berries

A dash of hot water

Juice from ¼ lemon

A pinch of seaweed salt



METHOD

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

2. Pour through a strainer to remove pips.

3. Add extra water to thin out mixture or consume as a 'gel'.

4. Consume within a few days as the fruit will ferment.


NOTE: If using coconut oil it will harden in cooler weather or if kept in the fridge.
